Second Armor X is the result of X equipping all parts of the Second Armor. This armor debuted in Mega Man X2 and later appeared in Mega Man Xtreme 2.

Following the events of Mega Man X, X returned the First Armor to the Light Capsules, where it would then be upgraded into the Second Armor.[1] During the events of Mega Man X2, X would come across the Light Capsules and collect the newly upgraded armor parts.[2] This armor notably introduced the ability to unleash a powerful attack with enough energy, which became a mainstay as seen with every armor that came after.

In Rockman / Mega Man X DiVE, Second Armor X appears as a playable character.

Tips[]

  • The second charged shot has a long animation end lag, but shooting it while jumping can cancel out the animation.
  • A charge shot lacks auto aim, requiring the player to line up with an enemy in order to hit them.
  • A charge shot is able to pierce through landscape and platforms.

Trivia[]

  • While the Second Armor has the Shoryuken as a bonus move in Mega Man X2 like the First Armor and the Hadouken in Mega Man X, there is no easter egg relating to this bonus for Second Armor X.
  • Second Armor X has a unique victory animation, where he thrusts his fist towards the camera as opposed to the sky.
  • Second Armor X is the first armor-related variation of X to not showcase X equipping the armor during his character select animation.
  • Prior to October 7, 202X:
